LONDON, December 21.—Acceptance by Manchoukuo of British industry's offer to collaborate in the development of the new state was cited today as one result of the federation of British industries mission to Japan and Manchoukuo. In its report the mission, which is unofficial and non-political, also re- vealed an agreement on a scheme for improved mutual trade between Britain and Japan by which a “per- GEO. D. The Japanese federation alréady has such a committee, the report said, and immediate formation of a similar British committee was advocated. Holding that British industry can- not hope to hold its place in world trade in competition with Japan, the mission’s report sald “the time has come when co-operation should be possible.” As a preliminary step in collaborating for the development of Manchoukuo, the mission reported an agreement had been reached to supply steel prod- ucts for delivery in Japan and Man- choukuo in 1935.
