The April aver- age, as shown by the official report, ‘was 80 per cent, but late in April there was a rate above the average, say u per cent, while this week’s rate may be timated at about 77 per cent, 'hlch would make about 6 per cent decrease in the tonnage in three weeks. ‘There has been no noticeable de- crease in any icular line, except for the decrease in rail production in the Chicago district, now at 80 per cent. against practically 100 per cent for several months.
