A—14 MOTORIST SOUGHT INDEATH OF 2 MEN Florida Man Said Been Driver in Accident. to Have Fatal By the Associated Press. RICHMOND, Va,, April 5.—State police tonight were searching for Roy Bruno, Miami Beach, Fla., said by R. J. Chayne, also of Miami, to have been the driver of an automobile that last night struck and killed two men investigating a pre- vious bus wreck on the Richmond- ‘Washington Highway. A third man was_injured. | Chayne, driver of one of the wrecked busses, said Bruno stopped his car after the crash to ask what had happened, and that he recognized him as a man he had known about four years in Miami. When he told him, Chayne said, that he had run down the men, Bruno replied, “You know me. I am going on. I have an injured woman in my car.” ‘The men killed were J. A. Varner, director of the Richmond office of the Nevins bus line, and Larry A. Barent- zen, owner of the Floridian Motor Serv- ice bus. Varner was killed instantly and Barentzen died shortly after reach- ing the City Hospital here. Varner lived in Baltimore and Barentzen in Miami, Fla. The injured man was Alphonso Hoffer, Boonsboro, Md., driver of the Nevins bus that collided with the Floridian in the first accident. Chayne, in a coroner’s inquest today, testified Bruno did not tell him the name of the injured woman or where he was going. William J. I;ocke Better. PARIS, April 5 (#).—Friends of Wil- | liam J.
