ROGERS’ RANCH SOLD Widow of Humorist Bids for Estate at Tax Sale. CLAREMORE, Okla., September 26 (#).—There was none of the glamor of the auction sale when they sold the Will Rogers ranch today. Principals at the sale waited for bidders at the court house and when no others appeared, the widow of the late humorist went into an attorney’s office where the deal was consummat- ed behind locked doors. Bidding for the Rogers estate, Mrs. Rogers offered a reported price of $16,000 for the Rogers birthplace ranch at Oologah, and a 20-acre tract near the Oklahoma Military Academy here.
