OCEAN AIR SERVICE ' SET ON 2 ROUTES Northern and Southern Lines Across Atlantic Announced by Johnson. Ry the Associated Press. HARDFORD, Conn., September 26. =J. M. Johnson, Assistant Secretary of Commerce, disclosed here today that the projected trans-Atlantic air- plane service will embrace both & northern and a southern route. “Trans-Atlantic scheduled service,” Johnson said in an address, before the National Association of State Avia- tion officials, “is soon to become a reality. “This invslves diplomutic negotia- tions between the nations on both sides of the ocean, and the conversa- THE SUNDAY ST. tions toward this end are proceeding satisfactorily.” Johnson said there will be two routes—a northern one via Newfound- land and = southern one via Azores and Bermuda.
