NEW YORK, Degember 15.—Clothed n plans of a new fashion, and more elaborate than ever before, the Charity Ball, that institution of New York so- | ciety, will take place on January 22. Another innovation will be the place of celebration, for the event is scheduled for the Ritz-Carlton. This is the first time it has been presented so far up town. Later it was moved to the Metropolitan Opera Hquse, old Madison Square and finally scjtled for years at the Waldorf Astoria. ‘This year there will be no sale of boxes, another feature of the brilliant P ‘Tables are to be offered to the iety folk and it is believed that these will be a greater aid in obtaining funds for the New York Nursery and Child's Hospital, to which the ball is dedicated.
