B—4 Mr. Castle Returns to Washington Family Here Soon. Miss Gilbert Arrives. Nelsons at Shoreham. ‘The former Undersecretary of State, Mr. William R. Castle, who with Mrs. Castle spent the Summer at Hot Springs, Va. has returned to his home on R street. He will be joined the middle of the month by Mrs. Castle, who is remaining longer at the resort. Mr. Castle will leave shortly for Boston, where he will at- tend a meeting of the Harvard Over~ seers. Miss Betsy Gilbert, daughter of former Representative Ralph Gilbert, has arrived in Washington to spend the Winter attending the King-Smith School. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Nelson are at the Shoreham before continuing on their wedding trip for a tour of the South. They were married Wednes- day at Woodlawn, Baltimore County, Md,, the bride’s home. She is the former Miss Emma Eichert, daughter of Mrs. Christine Eichert. Mr. Nelson, who is connected with the United States Treasury Depart- ment, and his bride will make their home in Takoma Park, Md., upon their return. Mrs. V. G. Kirkpatrick of London, England, has arrived in Washington and is at the Carlton. Mrs. George Patton and Mrs. Hurry ‘Whiting Brown of Bronxville, N. Y., are at the Dodge for a few days. Mrs. Ralph C. Eckels, accompanied by her niece, Miss Marie C. Noone, who have been the house guests of Mrs. B. Francis Landsdale, left for their home in Bridgeport, Conn., today. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Mathews are at the Carlton for a short stay, having come on from their home in Phila- delphia. Dr. James G. McKay of 2009 Co- lumbia road is spending several weeks in Atlantic City. Mr. and Mrs.' R. F. Williams of Towa City, Towa, are at the Dodge for | & brief stay. Horse Show For Charity Tomorrow Pony rides for children will be one of the features of the Montgomery County Charity Horse Show tomorrow. This annual show is given for the benefit of the Social Service League and the Mental Hygiene Clinic of the county. Other attractions include an old-time tournament and musicale and Jump rides provided by Troop E, 3d Cavalry, at Fort Myer, Va. Children who will present trophies for the pony classes are Miss Nancy Latimer, .daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Y. Latimer; Miss Marcia White, daughter of Dr. and Mrs, Leonard D. White; Ralph Lee, 3d, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lee 2d; Janet and Peter Clapper, -children of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Clapper; Miss Ann Livingston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C.
