Annapolis Week Is Quiet With Few S ports Events Capt. and Mrs. Spear Entertain at Dinner Party. Comdr. and Mrs . Du Bose Give Buffet Supper. ANNAPOLIS, Md., March 23.—This week end at Annapolis is quiet, for although the aihletic events which will take place are interesting they are not as numerous as Saturday afternoon usually affords. The swim- ming teams will be in New York City, where they will compete in the intercollegiate meet. Fencing will take place here between the Navy and St. John's University of Brook- lyn, N. Y. Friday evening Capt. and Mrs. Ray Spear gave a dinner party at their home on Porter road. Comdr. and Mrs. Lawrence T. Du Bose gave a buffet supper on Friday evening, having as guests Capt. and Mrs. Harold V. McKittrick, Lieut. Comdr. and Mrs. John B. W. | ‘Waller, Comdr. and Mrs. George A. Rood, Lieut. The Union of American Hebrew Congregations, the National Federa- tion of Temple Sisterhoods and the National Federation of Temple Broth- erhoods are holding their biennial convention here at the Willard over last night at the Washington Hotel, in the Hall of Nations, followed by danc- ing, and tomorrow night there will be a banquet with entertainment.
