Wood, recently sta- tioned with the 17th Infantry at Fort Leavenworth, Kans., died yesterday at Walter Reed Hospital, where he had been ill for several weeks. Maj. Wood was awarded the Silver Star for bravery near Seizy, France, during the World War, and the Oak | Leaf Cluster at Boise-de-Brieulles.
