HE President and Mrs. Roose- wvelt this evening will open the official social season at the White House when they en- tertain at dinner in honor of the members of the cabinet and their wives. The dinner will be fol- lowed by a program of music when additional guests will join the com- pany. Mrs. Roosevelt was hostess at lunch- eon yesterday in compliment to Mrs. Hughes, wife of the Chief Justice, and the wives of the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court. Mrs. Garner Attends Fete In Honor of Mrs. Dern. Mrs. John Nance Garner, wife of the Vice President, attended the lunch- eon given today by Mrs. O.
