The total 1930 wheat crop for 41 countries, exclusive of Russia and China, was estimated yesterday by the Department of Agriculture at 3,649,- 656.000 bushels. This _estimate, which included the first official report on the Argentine crop, represented an increase of 9 per cent over the comparable 1929 total. ‘These 41 countries a year ago account- ed for 96 per cent of the estimated world crop. ‘The current Argentine crop was placed at 271,404,000 bushels, against 162,576,000 bushels a year ago, or an increase of 66 per cent. While the total world crop for the 41 countries was increased, the 1930 production for the 25 European coup- tries so far reported, excluding Russia, is 5.3 per cent below the 1929 total for the same countries.
