NIAGARA PLUNGE IS SHOWN IN REEL News Film and McNamee Present Graphic Story of Ride to Death. One of the sensational stunts shown in the latest Eventing Star Universal Newsreel is the plunge over the Horse- shoe Falls at Niagara by George L. Stathakis in a barrel. The pictures are being shown today on the sereens of Warner's Metropolitan, other Warner Eros’ theaters and leading Maryland and Virginia theaters. Stathakis laughingly bids his friends go2d—by as he erawls into the barrel. He is handed his mascot turtle and waves good-by before the ‘op of the barrel is bolted shut. The cameramen follow the swift toss- ing of the barrel through the angry water just above the ls until it finally is caught by the whirling flood ;1‘1 dragged downward into the rapids The barrel is carried under the water by the force of the plunge and lost sight of until the next morning, when it is finally sighted and dragged ashore. | ‘The turtle is taken out alive, but Stat- hakis had been smothered to death, his oxygen tank being unable te supply him ‘with enough air. Graham McNamee, National Broad- ecasting ace, gives a thrilling description of the plunge and also of other im- portant events in the reel, which in- cludes four startling air features and other news from both this country and abroad. Music is furnished by the Vietor Concery Orchestra, Rosarlo Bourdon, eonducting. NEW DUTIES FOR ARMY OFFICERS ARE ORDERED| Beveral Changes in Adjutant Gen-| eral's Department Made—Lieut. Col.
