An automobile stolen several days ago from the Brodt Corporation, at 509 Eleventh street, was recovered by William Brodt, a_member of the firm, and Edward P. Halfpap, 19-year- old painter, of 1012 B street northeast, was arrested on charges of joy-riding and operating a car without a permit. Brodt spotted the automobile waiting for a traffic signal at New York ave- nue and Fourteenth street and rushed over and grabbed the youthful driver after enlisting the ald of Vincent Milli- kin, 1404 New York avenue. Millikin held Halfpapp while Brodt summoned Traffic Policeman E. C. Lucis from his post in the street inter- section and had the young painter placed under arrest.
