B-—14 » MAIL SERVIGE IS HIT BY CITIZENS' GROUP Farest Hills Association Also Protests Kindergarten Teachers’ Change. Protests l inst the mail delivery | service and the proposal to reduce the number of kindergarten teachers in the elementary schools were offered in resolutions adopted by the Forest Hills Citizens’ Association last night, meet- | ing in the Methodist Home, Connecti- | cut avenue and Ellicott street. ‘Tardy deliveries, with mail some- times as much as two days late, were | stressed by the association as the rea- son for its intended complaint to the city postmaster. The committee on transportation and mail service was suthorized to communicate with the | postal authorities and appeal for more | efficient seryice, The association also | seek an additional mail box at ‘Thirtieth and Brandywine streets, the box formerly occupying the site having been removed some years ago. It was pointed out that instead of three mail deliveries, as provided in most sections of the. city, the Forest Hills community is afforded but two, and on a number of occasions this sec- ond delivery is neglected. The bill passed by the House calling for a cut in the number of klndlr“ngn teachers in the elementary school budget aj posed by the associa- tion on the ground that the burden of a class of 35 or 40 puplh is too great for m:’e‘ be;nh:': . ‘; measure now is pending in the Senal 1ele\e me‘uure according to the reso- lution, would reduce the number of kindergarten teachers one-half, which, in the association’s belief, would not be to the best interests of the school lyxmn Bruldem of the asso- chtlon wm make an address at the dedication of the Ben W.
