The wealth so recently sacrificed upon the altar of frantic speculation might have been saved if only the knowledge of sound principles of investment had prevailed. Knowledge of the fact that the First Mortgage Notes issued by Swartzell, Rheem & Hensey Company had come through sixty years of the ups and downs of modern business, withcut -a single instance of loss to an investor, might have saved many fortunes now irrevocably lost. And these notes are available in amounts as low as $100. An investment made to- day will protect you better than any pro- pitiation of the gods. SWARTZELL, RHEEM & HENSEY CO. One dai the sheriff served notice of a legal action contesting his title to the wells. In 1922, he had purchased the farm at Sheriff’s sale; foreclosure was brought against a widow who inherited the land from her husband, under the condition that she remain a widow,—otherwise the farm became the property of the children. The children, who were not parties to the foreclosure, sued. The court held that, as the mother’s widow- hood terminated by death, she had only a life estate.
