He inspected Marine Corps activities at Mare Island, San Francisco and San Diego. The Somme stopped at Corinto, Nicaragua, to take some “short-timers” and six Marines back to the States, and Gen. Lejeune learned that affairs in Nicaragua now are in good shape. He inspected the naval activities at Coco Solo in the Canal Zone.
