The weather permitting, the garden of Terrace Top, the home of Mr. Hugh Rellly, will be the scene of a charm- ingly arranged wedding this afternoon 2t 4:30 o'clock, when Mr. Rellly's daughter, Miss Ray Rellly, will be- come the bride of Mr. Frances De Lashmutt Thomas, son of Mrs. Stella E. Thomas, Rev. Edward L. Buckey officlating. ~ An improvised altar of blue delphinium, roses, palms and ferns has been arranged in the gar. den, which is gay with Summer blos- soms and shrubbery. A reception will follow, and there will be dancing. The bride will be given in marriage by her father, and will wear a lovely gown of white satin and tulle, made along quaint lines, with a close-fitting basque of satin and a bouffant skirt of tulle over satin, the satin being several inches shorter than the tulle. The neckline is edged with tulle, and the tiny cap-shaped sleeves also have the tulle edging. A shower of orange blossoms falls from one side of the skirt and clusters of the blossoms are festooned on the skirt. Her tulle vell will be arranged about her face with orange blogsoms, > white orchids and lilies of the valley. Miss EMzabeth Rellly will be the maid of honor for her sister and Mrs. Charles M. Thomas, sister-In-law of the bridegroom wil be the matron of honor. The bridesmaids will be Miss Marjorfe Little of Philadelphia, Mis Katherine Dreher of Strasburg, Pa. Miss Margaret White and Miss Ruth Rellly of Washington. The maid of honor will wear a gown of shell pink chiffon made on straight lines with several flares at the bot- tom of the-skirt. The rather low walist line is marked with a girdle of & deeper shade of pink velvet and a cape of the chiffon falls at the back to the waist line. Her hat is of blonde lace straw with flower trim- ming to match the pink of the girdle. She will carry an arm bouquet of blue Summer blossoms. The other attendants will wear frocks fashloned similar to that of the mald of honor, Mrs. Thomas, the mo- tron, th powder blue chiffon with a rdle of blue velvet, a blonde straw at with blue trimmings, and carrying &n arm bouquet of rose-shaded blos- goms. The bridesmaids will be in orchid chiffon with blonde hats, and will carry arm bouquets of vari-col- ored blossoms. Mr. Charles M. Thomas will be the best man for his brother and the ush- ers will be Mr. Willlam E. Leahy, Mr. John L. McCormick of Vermont, Mr. gown of black lace over pink-tinted chiffon and a_picture hat of lace and straw. Mrs, Walsh will be in a gowa of belge georgette crepe with a hat to match. Robinson of Fredericksburg, Va., to Mr. Lynn Winterdale Franklin of this eity, United States consul at Hongkong, China, took place at noon today, in the home of the bride’s parents, Fall HIill, in the presence of the members of the two families only, owing to the very recent death of the bridegroom’s mother, Mrs. J. J. Franklin of this city. Rev. Dr. Bucher, rector of the Episcopal Church of Fredericksburg, officlated. The bridegroom had for his best man his younger brother, Lieut. Neal Dow Franklin, U. 8. A., stationed at Camp Meade, Md. The bride was unattended and her father gave her in marriage. She ware her traveling sult and carried a white bound prayer book, from which the service was read. After the wedding breakfast Mr. Franklin and his bride left for San Francisco, and will sail for China next week. A bride of noon today, formerly Miss Fredericksburg, Va., the wedding taking Mr. and Mrs. Frederick H. Robinson, Fall woman. She and her mother took prominent parts in the recent pageant at_Fredericksburg. Mr. Franklin went to Hongkong last year, where his mother joined him six months ago. She was ill there and he escorted her home, but she died in San Francisco a few hours after land- ing. She was a cousin of the Sup- plees of Philadelphia and of the late Gen. Willlam Crawford Gorgas, U. S. A. He has been vice consul and consul in Honduras, Guatemala and Salvador, in all of which countries he has a host of friends.
