Funeral services for Assistant United States Attorney = William Glichrist, who died yesterday morning at Providence Hospital after a long illness, will be held at his late resi. dence, 3300 Sixteenth street, tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be_in Rock Creek Cemetery. Mr. Glichrist was born in Bedford County, Pa., in 1875, and came to ‘Washington in 1898. While serying as secretary to the late Representative Sidney Mudd of Maryland, Mr. Gllchrist studied law, entering the district attorney’s office in 1910, later becoming_assistant United States at- torney. He also was a professor in criminal law at the Washington Col- lege of Law. - In 1913, Mr. Gilchrist married Ber- the Thebalult Rivailles, who survives him.” Mr. Giichrist also is survived by one’ sister, Miss Grace G. Allen, 53 years old, for- merly an employe of the United States Treasury Department and of the De- partment of Labor, died at his resi- dence, 2825 Thirteenth street, Tuesday, after an lliness of five weeks. Burgess, 75 years old, who conducted the Burgess Hotel Agency at 502 Tenth street for 30 years, died at his residence, 1247 Irving street, early today after an {llness of about two months. Mr. Burgess was widely known in this city among hotel men and restaurateurs. He retired from business last March. Mr. Burgess was a native of Annapo- 1is, but had lived in Washington nearly all his life. He was a member of the Maccabees. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ella C. Burgess; a daugh- ter, Miss Emily L. Burgess; two sons, Cephas W. Burgess and Willlam M. Burgess, and five grandchildren, all of this city, and a sister, Mrs. Kate Brown of Annapolis.
