Mr. R. F. Pepple, who has charge of the City Drug Store, is a native of this state, having first seen the light of day at Worthington, Minn. After two years’ service in a pharmacy in his home town, he became a freshman at the university of Minnesota, from which he graduated in 1895, after which time he clerked in Duluth for several years, arriving here two years ago, when he became associated with the Owl Drug Store, bringing with him the knowledge of a skilled and 2 metropolitan training. At present he is half owner of the - City Drug Store,- and in company with his business colleague, Mr. French, he has brought the busines of the City Drug Store to its present high plane of popu- larity and success. ] e T THORSTEN THOMPSON. Merchant - tailoring in its different branches is more than a profession—it is an art. HUDSON BRITTON. THE STREETER LAUNDRY. The Streeter Laundry is a pioneer institu- tion that was established in the early days of Bemidji and has grown in proportions and usefulness as the city progressed along advanced lines. This place of business is now patronized by a large proportion of the residents of the city, which . indicates the popularity of the enterprise. From a small stand consisting practically of one common wringer, a washtub and a clothesline in the open air, the Streeter laundry has gained business and added up- : to-date machinery until it ranks well to the front as a place where washing is done in a thoroughly satisfactory manner. Hudson Britton, the present proprietor of the Streeter Laundry, has since he assumed the management of the concern, attended strictly to the work of building up his enter- prise until he has a large and increasing patronage that is daily being added to. Mr. Britton is a square-dealing business man who believes in giving the public its money’s worth, and the quality of work turned out at the Streeter Laundry is ex- tremely satisfactory in every respect. For clean, sanitary laundry work, Mr. Britton claims first rank, and 'his labors along -that line are duly appreciated.
