SOLEMN Novena in honor of Mary, queen of the rosary, is being held at St. Dominic’s Church, the National Shrine of the Holy Rosary. It opened with a high mass and ser- mon today at 9 o'clock. The new shrine will be dedicated at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning, when high mass will be celebrated at the shrine altar. During the week high mass will be celebrated daily at 9 o'clock. Services will be held each evening at 8 o'clock. There will be a sermon at the mass each morning and one at the eve- ning devotions. aFther Willlam J. McLaughlin, a gifted young preacher, will conduct the Novena. His successful work as & preacher throughout the East well qualifies him to present to Catholics the reason for the faith that is in them. FIRST BAPTIST LIST SERVICES Swedish Rites Will Be Held Tomorrow Afternoon. “A Reasonable Request” will be the sermon subject of Dr. Edward Hughes Pruden at the First Baptist Church tomorrow morning.
