CLEVELAND, Ohio, December 10.— Daily Metal Trade today says: Under the greatest pressure for shipe ments encountered in several years steel-making operations have risen two points to 77 per cent of capacity. As the month progresses it is indis cated further advances will be re« corded since it is likely delivery pres< sure will become even more insistent over the next three weeks. Even with added capacity engaged it is uniikely all fourth quarter tonnags on mill books will be shipped by the end of the month, and consequently it ap- pears a certainty that ingot operations will be continued through January at the present rate or higher. Demand is strong in virtually all directions. Major interest has switched from the lighter products to the heavier materials. This is attributable to the fact most producers of the lighter products have withdrawn from the market for fourth quarter shipe ment, but some tonnage in the heavier materials for that delivery still is available. mm-uummoo High.
