BRIDGES DIRECTS G. 0. P. PROGRAM New Hampshire Governor Directs Drafting New England Declaration. By the Associated Press. EASTERN POINT, Conn., July 1.— Gov. H. Styles Bridges of New Hamp- shire, drafted as a peacemaker to reconcile factional differences over a platform, steered a declaration of principles through the New England Conference of Young Republicans yes- | terday. The declaration, however, | while deploring conditions in the Na- | tion, refrained for the present from | a complete expression of opinion on | eontroversial issues. | ‘The pronouncement of policies, | greeted with cheers, is expected to be expanded at another New England conference to be held September 28 | and 29 in New Hampshire. | The declaration read: “We believe that any effort to draft a complete expression of opinion upon contro- versial subjects is premature at this time and should be given further con- sideration and study by this commit- tee and by the New England confer- ence. We deplore conditions in this Nation today, but attacks upon the | administration unaccompanied by a constructive program will not advance the interests of the Republican party.” 1 — Three Bankers to Die in Fraud.| SVERDLOVSK, U.
