VAN HAGAN, A EVANHAGAN, &, CLAIMED BY DEATH Engineer 29 Years in Em- ploy of Telephone Co. Ill but Two Days. Arthur Edward Van Hagan, 54, an engineer, died Saturday afternoon at Hotel. He had been ill two days. Funeral services will be held to- morrow, at 11 am., at the Hines funeral hotne, 2901 Fourteenth street northwest. The body will be sent to Denver, Colo., for burial. For 20 years an employe of the American Telephone & Telegraph ington's dial telephone system. He came here in 1932, and had taken an active interest in civic affairs, serving as & committeeman in the Board of Trade. Mr. Hagan was born in Kansas City, Mo., but spent the early part of his life in Chicago. He was gradu- ated from the University of Wiscon- sin in 1906. Since that time he has been in the employment of the tele- phone company. Surviving, are his wife, Lydia Begole Van Hagan, formerly of Den- veér; a sister, Mrs. Elmer G. Johnson, of San Diego, Calif, and two brothers, L. F. Van Hagan of Madi- son, Wis., and Homer H. Van Hagan of Buffalo. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi, an honorary fraternity, and of the Commonwealth Country Club of New York.
