Applications for allotment of $9.- 090,572 for 48 Federal projects in 16 States, including construction work at College Park, Md., and Fort Hum- phries in Washington were an- nounced today at the Division of Applications and Information. A request for $350,000 for construc- tion of a mining experiment station at College Park was filed by the Bu- reau of Mines. This project, author- jzed by Congress four years ago, would provide quarters here research work in mineral technology might be pursued. $§188,17¢ Expenditure Needed. At Fort Humphries, new buiiimgs and construction call for an expen- diture of $188.170. under supervision of the quartermaster generals office.
