MRS. JOHN W. NAIRN DIES AT SON’S HOME Had Resided in Washington 50 Years—Was Active in Hospital Guild. Nalrn, widow of O | John W. Nairn, for many years head of the Sibley Memorial Hospital Guild and active in other charitable works, died yesterday at the home of her son, Wilson B. Nairn, 1344 Jef- ferson street. In recognition of her service, Mrs. Nairn was made a life member and honorary vice president of the guild. Mrs. Nairn likewise served on boards of the Swarzell Home for Chil- dren and the Methodist Home for Old People. Her husband, a Washington druggist, who died in 1901, had been active in the affairs of the Children’s Hospital, in which Mrs. Nairn was also interested. Born in Philadelphia, April 29, 1859, the daughter of the late Jacob and Ells Brittin, she had lived in the District for the last 50 years. She attended the Sixth Presbyterian Church. Besides her son, she is survived by two grandchildren, John W. and Mar- garet Nairn. Services will be held at the 8. H. Hines funeral chapel, Tues- day at 10:30 am.
