All camps operated by organisations affiliated with the Community Chest must be placed on a self-supporting basis this year, according to a ruling made by the Budget Committee in al- locating funds. The free fresh-air camps operated for mothers and children, including Camp ngpyluld at Patuxent, Md.; conducted by the Salvation Army; Camp Good Will in Rock Creek Park, and Camp Pleasant at Blue Plains, main- tained by the Associated Charities, will not be able to open this year. ~The Boys’ Club camp on the Wicomico River also will remain closed because of the shortage of funds. Make Special Efforts. Special efforts are being made by the Y. W.C. A, Y. M. C. A, Boy Scyouu. Girl Scouts and the Phyllis Wheatley Y. W. C. A. to obtain support for their camps. in the way of scholarships for boys and girls unable to pay the full price.
