Dull, 73, Con- victed of Fatal Attack on For- mer Foot Ball Star. By the Associated Press. SALT LAKE CITY, May 20—Dr. La- fayctte J. Dull, 73-year-old retired den- tist, convicted of the second-degree murder of his son-in-law, Horace M. Randels, former star foot ball player at the Kansas State College, was sentenced to 20 years in State Prison by District Judge Allen G. Thurman today. Dr. Dull was alleged to have shot and killed Randels as the latter was help- ing care for Dull's young son, who was ill at the Duli home, The defense claimed insanity, asserting the 73-year- old dentist was a victim of a delusion that Randels was attempting to obtain possession of his property.
