FOR the new week, beginning next Monday, the National Players will present John Drinkwater's celebrated comedy, “Bird in Hand,” for the first time in stock. Written by one of the really great English play- wrights, it is one of the outstanding lays of the day, th in America and in England. The scenes are laid in a quaint old English inn, from which the play takes its title, and the story con- tent, besides fur- nishing real love romance, shows Drinkwater, in all his years of cumora Brooke. ‘writing, never at- tained greater heights than he has scaled in this beautiful drama.
