Mr. Corbett is a son of a sister of the late Dr. Wiley. Mr, Corbett, who is chairman of the Architectural Commission for the 1933 ‘World’s Fair at Chicago and who will speak on what the fair will offer, is best known in Washington for his de- sign for the George Washington Ma- sonic Memorial at Alexandria. He also designed the Navy and Marine Memo- rial here. A graduate of the University of Call- fornia, Mr. Corbett also won high hon- ors at the Ecole des Beaux Arts of Paris and studled in Rome. Esperantists Guests Of Miss Florence King On Anniversary Date Program Given in Memory of Dr. Zamenhof, Named as Inventor the Interna- tional Language. Miss _Florence King, 530 Cedar street, Takoma Park, entertained the Washington Esperantists in her home December 15, in commemoration of the anniversary of the birth of Dr. L. Zamenhof, inventor of the inter- national language. Mrs. Charlotte Fosselman, chair- man of the Program Committee, pre- sented a program of which the out- standing feature was a prepared talk on the history of the Esperanto move- ment in China, by Dr. Ta Kwang Wu of the_ Chinese legation. Dr. Wu also read a cablegram from the Esperanto Association of Canton, China, extending greetings and good wishes to the Esperantists of Washing- ton. A reply to this message was sent to China. An article on the history of interna- tional languages, prepared by Adolph Mayer, was read by Mr. Carl King ow- Mayer's inability to be present in person. Others participating in the program were Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Fritzsching, who each related some of their experi- ences at the International Esperanto Congress in Budapest in 1929. Mr. Allan Davis, principal of Busi- ness High Schpol, spoke of impressions received of the Esperanto Congress at inburgh. Esperanto songs sung by Miss Florence King were well received. The audience was entertained with stories and anecdotes recited in Esperanto by Mr. and Mrs. Willlam B. Patzer. At the close of the program Dr. Wu, after complimenting the chairman on her excellent program, presented her with an Esperanto translation of a work from the pen of Sun Yat Sen.
