I heard a lot when Catherine Cornell was here of how that lady would never, never cease to snub the idea of making a movie. A tert was out of the ques- tion. The Eisenstein, it seems, wasn't as impressed by the art of Miss Cornell to the extent some of our best critics have been. In fact, he thought her just another actress, so far as I can find out. Her make-up was so thick that no camera effects could be ob- tained, according to my informant.
