SOCIETY. 7 ¢ Officials and Wives Attend Benefit Game For Local Unemployed President and Mrs. Hoover, Secretary of Navy, With Service Commandants, at i Contest Yesterday: President and Mrs. Hoover attended the foot ball game between the Marine Corps and Coast Guard, teams yester- day afternoon, played in the Grifith Stadium for the benefit of the unem- ployed of the District. They Were ac- companied by the President’s military and naval aides and Mrs. Stark Mc- Mullin, who is a guest at the White House. The major general commandant of the Marine Corps and Mrs, Ben H. Fuller :at in the box at one side of the Presidential box, and on the other side of President and Mrs. Hoover were the commandant of the Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Frederick C. Billard, and Mrs. Billard. After the brilliant and extremely effective drill of the Marines, Gen. and Mrs. Fuller and Admiral and Mrs. Billard each vaid their respects o the Chief Executive. Mrs. Hoover wore & becoming cos- tume of cinnamon brown, the coat long and straight and having a “choker” collar of sable, which fastened, standing sbove her chin. Her hat was of velvet to match and had a moderate brim turned up across the front. Mrs. Fuller also wcre a suit, her coat made with a narrow belt at a normal waistline and having a “skirt” midway to her knees. ‘The collar and deep bands above the wrists were of baby lamb fur and her close-fitting green hat had a “cuff” of the fur which formed an up-turned brim all around. Mrs. Billard was in black, a broadtail fur coat, straight and long, with two large pointed fox fur ‘forming the collar. Her hat of soft black beaver cloth had a brim turned off her face. Secretary of the Navy and Mrs. Adams were in their box with several guests, and the Ambassador of Turkey, Mr. Ahmet Muhtar, and members of his staff, with their wives, were in another box. Others who took boxes were the Secretary of the Treasury, Mr. Mellon; Representative and Mrs. Richard S. Aldrich, the Undersecretary of the ‘Treasury and Mrs. Ogden L.
