Launched upon the Winter's social program by two State functions—a cabinet dinner and a diplomatic recep- tion—cabinet days at home and a re- ception at the Congressional Club for | the wives of cabinet members, society is sitting pretty with one of fhe fullest and most delightful programs laid be- fore it in many seasons. The event this season will be the third of the charme ing dancing parties for the younger set, inaugurated by Mrs. Helen Ray Hi . The Vice President, Mr. Charles Cur= s, and his sister, Mrs. Edward Everett Gann, will arrive at the ball at 11 o'clock and will be escorted to their bow by the Floor Committee, which will be composed of high-ranking Army and Navy officers, with the midshipmen and cadets forming an aisle down the center of the ball room floor through which the party will pass. Senate Ladies to Resume Series of Luncheons The Senate ladies will resume their luncheons on Tuesday afternoon.
