Navy Classes and The: Social Fet, ANNAPOLIS, Md., November 29.— The most important society event of the present period in Annapolis was the Thanksgiving hop held on Wednesday evening in Dahlgren Hall, to which the first, second and third classes and treir friends were invited. This is one of the largest hops of the season. Thursday, Thanksgiving day, there were several athletic events held in the morning and early afternoon. Annapolis will experience another crowded week end, as the foot ball team will be playing here against George Washington University. This sport event always draws many visitors to the city. Bachke have accepted the invitation of the Minnesota Society to be present at their meeting on December 5 at the ‘Willard Hotel, when Mr. Evelyn Briggs Baldwin will address the soclety on Arctic exploration in an illustrated lecture. Following the lecture, Mr. Baldwin will present to the Minister of Norway for such disposition as may be deemed most appropriate the famous Nansen message, which is ~ relic of the Nor- wegian Government expedition of which Dr. Nansen was the leader.
