Black, 8th Field Artillery, was | in a hospital today, the sole survivor of an airplane collision which cost the lives | of Lieut Col. Phra Amara of the Siamese | Air Corps_and Lieut. Robert J. Brown, ir., U. S. A. Air Corps. Amara was killed instantly when the seaplane he was piloting locked wings | with an observation land plane occupied by Brown and Black. Both planes fell 200 feet. Brown died an hour later in| Langley Field Hospital. Wallace was acquitted by a jury in Franklin Circuit Court yesterday of a charge of altering election returns in the 1927 primary so as to obtain the Republican nomination for State auditor. Wallace had previously been found guilty on five counts and sentenced to 121, years' imprisonment. The Ken- tucky Court of Appeals set aside the verdict because of introduction of in- valid evidence.
