Milius, president of the suburban bank in which he kept his v meager savings, James A, Davis, 57- year-old laborer, Sunday repudiated admissions contained in a signed state- ment accredited to him in a local news- paper Saturday night. Davis was arrested after publication of the statement in which he was quoted as confessing authorship of a series of threatening letters sent anonymously to iwo business associates of the former banker, who died here a week 8go of burns received in an automobile crash. Davis denied, when questioned by County Attorney Henry Beel, that he was with Milius when the latter received his fatal burns March 1, as the article stated.
