National Capital Horse Show Completing Plans for Midmay. Preparations are all complete for the National Capital Horse Show. one of the annual Spring events which society always anticipates with a great deal of enthusiasm. It will be held on May 14, 16, 16, 17, at_the Horse Show As- sociation’s grounds in Bradley Hills, Md. The horse show is one of the events of the year, which always brings back many who have lived here and drifted 'Gol. Robert M. Thompson of New York, honorary president of the as- sociation and ome of its organizers 20 vears ago, is one of the annual box- holders. McEnery of Philadelphia, Pa., is in Washington, and is staying at the Potomac Park Apartments, The marriage of Miss Louisa Olney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred C. Olney of Washington, to Mr. John B. Bowen, jr., of Chevy Chase, Md., took place Saturday at noon in All Souls’ 1 Church, the Rev. H. H. Ster- rett_officiating. The bride was given in marriage her_brother, Lieut. Alfred C. Olney, Jr., of Pensacola, Fla.. and she wore a gown of powder blue chiffon with a hat to match and carried a large bouquet of pink roses. Miss Ellen Crawford was maid of honor, wearing a gown of pink flowered chiffon_and carrying pink roses. Mr. J. B. Bowen was best man for his son, and the ushers selected were Mr. T. P. Moore of Washington and Mr. Gilbert Doane of Bethlehem, Pa. After an informal wedding breakfasy at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. Bowen and his bride left for Atlantic City. They will be at home upon their return at the home of the bridegroom’s parents, 117 Hesketh street, Chevy Chase, Md. Among_the out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Olney of Spartan- burg, 8. The Congressional Club will give a post-Easter dance on Tuesday evening at the club house. Dr. and Mrs. Elic Scott Carroll have with them for the week their grand- daughter, Miss Betty Carroll, who is attending school in Buffalo and is here for the Easter vacation.
