NEW YORK, December 5.—“The Jer- sey Kid,” whose true name became lost long ‘ago in an interminable maze of aliases and who is wanted, police say, for two murders in New Jersey and Dt,emd in Chicago, gave himself up yes- rday. Barricaded in an uptown apartment, with a pretty, red-haired girl com- panion, “The Jersey Kid” started to shoot it out with the police. There was a price of $25,000 on his head. After his arrest he sullenly denied he was either Murray, McBrylnd or “The Jersey Kid.” He said his name was Char]yu Davis, an alias which, the police sald, he had used before. As “Frank McBrien” the prisoner is wanted in Newark for the murder of a motor bus terminal cashier, and in Bradley Beach, N. J,, for the murder of Both murders were committed during hold-ups.
