As a whole minimum temperatures today were not so low as yesterday, and tomorrow's readings are expected to show a still wider upward range. Of the deaths six were due to freez- ing and the others to traffic accidents and fires incident to sleet and ice cov- ered roads and overheated stoves and furnaces. The other man was not impressed and as- sured him that America was no use now for those seeking fortunes and that the moon was to be the next great par- ¢ adise for ambitious emigrants.
