CANTON, China, June 8-—During the first quarter of 1 Canton's éx- orts and imports have shown little mprovemént, over the past year. Un-| stable money, war, political unrest and increased tariffs combined to block the efforts of Cantonese merchants. Exports and Imports. ‘The city's trade in 1028 was only 21.3 rflr cent above 1927, the latter being the worst year since 1920. Can- ton's combined exports and imports ln, 1028 were $131,764363.
