SOCIETY ‘Alexandrians Leave to See Winter Sport Merritt Cootes and Sister Go to Dart- mouth College. LEXANDRIA, Va, February 6.—Mr. Merritt Cootes and his sister, Miss Mary Cootes, have gone to Hanover, N. H., for the Winter sports at Dartmouth College. Mr. Cootes, who has been with his parents, Col. and Mrs. Harry N. Cootes, since his return from China several months ago, will leave Saturday for Havana, where he will be the United States vice consul. Mrs. Gorden Pickett Peyton is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. C. Grasty in Staunton. Mr. Peyton has gone to Chicago on a business trip. Capt. James C. Marshall, U. 8.
