HE Ambassador of Argentina and Senora de Espil will return to the Capital the last of the week from the Argentine, where they have been spending several months. The Ambassador of France and Mme. de Laboulaye expect to leave Washington the first of next week for New York, whence they will sail to return to France. The newly appointed Ambassador, M. Georges Bonnet, will arrive in New York Tuesday, February 16, and will probably remain there a few days before coming here to assume his new duties. The Ambassador and Mme. de Laboulaye will be the guests in whose honor the Turkish Ambassador and Mme. Ertegun will entertain at luncheon Friday. Yesterday the Italian Ambassador and Signora de Suvich en- tertained at a luncheon in honor of the Ambassador and Mme. de Laboulaye. The Soviet Ambassador and Mme. Troyanovsky also will be hosts to the Ambassador and Mme. de Laboulaye, for whom they will entertain at luncheon Saturday. The Ambassador of Germany, Herr Hans Luther, will be host at luncheon at the Embassy Tuesday. The Japanese Ambassador and Mme. Mrs. George Knox Berry, Mr. Hudson Engagement | To Be Announced Today 'Mrs. John Gilmore Will Entertain Couple at | Breakfast Party—Plans for Other Weddings Also Are Made. | HE engagement of Mrs. George Knox Berry, daughter of Mrs. William S. Knox and the late Mr. Knox, to Mr. D. Hurd Hudson, formerly of Mississippi, now living in Washington, will be announced today. The announcement will be made at a breakfast party which Mrs. John Gilmore will give at midday in her home in honor of Mrs. Berry and Mr. Hudson. The guests, who who will number about 50, are close friends of the honor guests and Mrs. Gilmore has arranged a reproduction of the famous breakfast served at the Hermitage, home of Andrew Jackson, when the President visited there in recent years. Hams, turkeys and beaten biscuits have been sent from Tennessee for the repast and Mrs. Gilmore will be assisted by Mrs. Edward McCormick and Mrs. Sumpter Smith.
