BY the Associated Press, CHICAGO, November 30.—Cham- pionship competition at the Thirty- seventh International Live Stock Expo~ sition reached a high pitch today, with gl s L ri s-'-mas ale sheep and swine in the ring. ‘The seven acres of live stock exhibits, worth more than $5,000,000, sprang to life when the first Aberdeen-Angus steers and shorthorn breeding classes went under the eyes of an international 5 group of judges. i # At the same time, hundreds of young farm boys mobilized for the i Junior live stock judging contest in the main arena of the Union 8tock Yards v amphitheater. Eleven breeds of wethers competed for blue, red, white and pink ribbons OF - D in the sheep division of the show. A thunder of hoofs heralded first judging in the unusually large entry list of draft horses. Giant Belgians were first of the breeds to compete for premiums. The farm boys and girls attending the National 4-H Club Congress faced & busy day, with baked goods, food preservation, clothing and home fur- nishings to be judged in the Loop. Style revue judging was another fea- ture of today's program.
