SUCCESSIRAVED FOR DR DUDLEY Rev. Paul Wilbur to Come to Church of St. Stephen and Incarnation. Rev. Paul Wilbur of Bethel, Conn., | - will succeed Rev. Dr. George Fisk Dud- ley as rector of the Church of St. Stephen and the Incarnation shortly after the first of the year, it was an- nounced today. Dr. Dudley, who has served the church at Sixteenth and Newton streets for 43 years, gave formal no- tice in June that he wished to retire on the first of the year. His successor has been rector of St. Thomas’ Church, Bethel. From a small beginning in Columbia Heights, St. Stephen and Incarnation Parish has grown to one of promi- nence under leadership of Dr. Dudley. He has blue eyes and dark hair, and George Yooum, MRS. PERCY WILLIAMS DIES IN NASHVILLE Mother of Robert P. Willlams Was Well Known Here as Visitor to Son’s Home. Mrs. Percy Willlams, mother of Rob- ert P. Willilams, member of the House Appropriations Committee staff, died Sunday at Nashville, Tenn., it was learned here today. She was 57 years old. Mrs. Willlams was well known in Washington, where she had spent much time in recent years 3s a visitor at her son’s home. Mr. Williams, only surviving child, has gone to Nashville to attend funeral services today. Mrs. Williams' husband ‘died some years ago. He was prominent in Ten- nessee banking circles. Mr. Wilbur received his college train- ing at Brown.University and Trinity | College. He entered the General The- ological Seminary in 1924 and was | graduated in 1927. He was made a | deacon the same year by Right Rev. William T. Manning, Bishop of New York, and became a priest in 1928. He | took a post-graduate course at the seminary, receiving his 8. T. D. degree in 1928, He was married in June, 1928, to Miss Viola Lockwood of Stamford, Conn, Mrs. Wilbur died in July, 1935, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Wilbur was minister in charge of the Chapel of the Atonement in New York City in 1927 and .1928. From 1928 to 1932 he was assistant rector of St. Peter’s Church, Niagara Falls, N. Y. In 1933 he became rector of St. Thomas'. In 1935 he was appointed chaplain of the House of Representatives of the OConnecticut Legislature, which position he still holds. Dr. Dudley said he and his wite | would leave Washington about the first of the year and go to Newark, N. J., to live with their son, John F. Dudley. e GEORGE BRONSON REA BURIED IN ARLINGTON Funeral services for George Bron- son Rea, 67, diplomat and newspaper man, who died Saturday night in Johns Hopkins University Hospital, Baltimore, were held at 11 a.m. today in Arlington National Cemetery. At the time of his death Mr. Rea was foreign adviser to the Manchu- kuo government, a position he had held since 1932. He served in the Military Intelligence, United States Army, during the World War. In the Cuban War for Independence he was war correspondent for the New York Herald. Part of the money contributed to the Community Chest will be used to care for the infants in Children’s Hospital, where this feeding-time picture was made, and in several other insti- tutions of the city.
