SALESMAN FOUND | DEAD IN GARAGE gun- George Gray Slumped in Front Seat of Car, With Motor Running. Slumped in the front seat of his car, which he had driven into a garage rented for a few hours, George Gray, 41, of 5100 Seventh street, wholesale liquor firm salesman, was found dead last night with the motor of the machine running. Coroner A, Magruder McDonald, who was investigating the case to- day, was told that the doors of the garage, located at 625 Princeton place, were closed tight and one side of the hood of the car was up. Gray stopped at the Princeton place address about 5:30 p.m. yesterday and asked Miss Sarah Cohen if he could rent the garage in rear of the house for a couple of hours to do some re- pair work on his machine. Given permission to do so, he drove the car inside. About three-quarters of an hour later, Miss Rose C. Cohen and a friend, Miss Mildred Purcell, looking out the rear window, noticed the doors of the garage were closed tightly. Going out to investigate, they opened the doors and found the garage filled with fumes from the car's exhaust. The girls notified police and No. 2 resque squad responded. Dr. W. G. Fletcher, who arrived with the Cas- ualty Hospital ambulance, said Gray was dead. Twe notes, found with an order book and a small amount of money on the dead man, were turned over to the police homicide squad. One was addressed to his mother and the other to his wife, Mrs. Marion Gray, accord- ing to Dr. MacDonald, who was to have an autopsy performed today. Besides his widow, Gray is survived by three children, Robert, 16; Made- leine, 15, and Richard, 10. J. W. V.
