Y., November 15. ~—Mrs. Edith Kermit Roosevelt, widow of President Theodore Roosevelt, was confined to a hospital today because of a broken hip. She is 74 years old. Dr. Rfthard Derby, her son-in-law and chief of staff at the hospital, and Dr. Mather Cleveland, New York specialist, said they were satisfied with her progress. She was injured Wednesday night when she slipped on the floor of her Sagamore Hill home, where she lived with the former President \mfll his death.
