A group of the younger social set, in- cluding many of the season’s debu- tantes and sub debutantes, gathered at the Shoreham Hotel ball room last evening to celebrate the birthday an- niversary of Miss Rosario Delgado, daughter of the resident commissioner of the Philippines and Mrs. Delgado. The party was chaperoned by Mrs. Neitah King. Miss Delgado wore a frock of green crepe and during the evening a cake was brought into the table, bearing the red, white and blue colors of the Philippine flag. Crouch entertained at a mis- cellaneous shower Wednesday evening in the former’s home on Quebec place, in honor of Dorothy Margaret Rodier, whose marriage to Mr. Walter E. Grosvenor have returned from Nova Scotia, where they have been for the past three months, and are now at Wild Acres, their country estate, near Bethesda, Md. They will be joined at the end of the week by their son- in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Cabot Coville, and their two children. Dr. Coville and his family will re- main in this country for an indefinite period while Dr. Coville is on leave from his post as second secretary of the United States Embassy in Japan. Dr. and Mrs. Coville will be accom- panied by Mrs. Coville'’s sister, Miss Carol Grosvenor, who has been in Japan and the Orient since last Spring.
