QUANTICO, Va., December 8.—The annual meeting of the Officers’ Mess was held at the Waller Building Tues- day afternoon, when the following officers were elected to serve for the [ ng year: President, Lieut. Col. C. J 1; vice president, Capt. (U. S. N.) William Mann; secretary-treas- urer, Capt. A. T. Lewis. The board of governors consists of Col. Frederick Banker, Comdr. W. J. C. Agnew, Lieut, Col. Maurice Shearer, Lieut. Comdr, T. V. Cooper, Capt. W. F. Marshall and Capt. Chaplain Hicks. Following the election the golf trophies which were won at che recent matches sponsored by the golf club were presented by Maj. Clifton Cates to Capt. W. F. Marshall, club champion; Chief Quar- termaster Clerk James Fountain, hold- er of low gross score; Capt. W. F. Brown, holder of low net score; Capt. W. F. Marshall first flight; Dr. Guy Stahr, second flght; Lieut. A, V. Gerald, third flight, and Dr. W. J. C. Agnew, handicap tournament. The ladies’ handicap tournament sponsored by ‘the elub was won by Mrs. Howard, wife of Lieut. Col. Arch Howard, with Mrs. Hayne Boy- den as runner-up. Lieut. Col. and Mrs. Ross Rowell have returned from their two-month vacation, which they spent touring in Italy and Southern France. Col. Rowell is commandant of the Air- crafts Squadron. Miss Marian Serensen of Rockford, I, and Lieut. George Cloud were married in Washington November 25. Lieut. Cloud is attached to the Fleet Marine Force. Mrs. John H. Russell and Mrs. Emil P. Moses are guests of Mrs. Charles Lyman. Maj. Gen. John H. Russell and Col. Moses are expected to motor from Washington today and will ac- company their wives home. Mrs. Davis, wife of Maj. Ralph Davis of Washington, was a recent guest of Mrs. Lyman. Brig. Gen.
