Mex., December 8 (®).—Rex Williams, 19, and Otto Cox, 20, high school students, who thought their careful plans to rob a bank would work out, last night began serving prison sentences of seven to nine years. ‘The youths pleaded guilty less than 24 hours after they robbed the Hot Springs National Bank of $1,100. Most of the money was recovered when they were arrested. Neither boy was able to explain why he had turned to crime. 4-H MEMBERS DRAW $32,305 FOR BEEVES By the Associated Press. CHICAGO, December 8.—Buyers of prize beef spent $32,305.05 as evidence of their interest in 4-H Club feeding projects. Last night 281 4-H Club boys and A—11 girls whose baby beef competed for the title of junior champion steer of the show were richer by that amount. The 281 baby beeves were sold at an average of $11.26 & hundred pounds. ‘The average weight was 1,021 pounds. “Snookums,” the junior champion steer showed by Mary Kinsinger, 12, of Chenoa, Ill, brought the record high price of 62 cents a pound.
