OFFICE PREPARED [OR FARM RELIEF Public Buildings Commission to Open Quarters in Ag- nNeulture Department. The Public Buildings Commission is preparing a home for President Roose- wvelt's new farm relief organization, which is designed to give the farmer better prices for his products. Harold A. Candland, executive sec- tary of the commission, explained day that quarters for the new Emer- District’s Heroes in the World War Compiled by Sergt. L. E. Jaeckel. 8 RECORDED in the official citation, Chester Wells, captain, U. 8. Makes Way for Group. ‘To make way for the new group, Mr. Candland said, the commission has pro- vided the Crop Loan Administration Office, which occupies some 7,00 0 square feet, out of the Department of Agriculture Administration Building, ;2"’1 ‘Temporary Building C on Tne all. ‘The commission intended to shift the Crop Loan Administration into the old Southern Railway Building, 1300 E street, but there is now no room avail- able in that sturcture. The Crop Loan group is affiliated with the Agricultural Credit Administration, which will be located at 1300 E street. Ultimately, it is proposed to move the Bureau of Customs and the Bureau of Prohibition out of 1300 E street, so the farm relief units—with the exception of the new Emergency Agricultural Ad- justment Administration—may all be oused beneath that roof. Dry Unit to Be Moved. Tentative plans call for moving the Bureau of Prohibition to the old De- artment of Commerce Building, at ineteenth street and Pennsylvania avenue, and the Bureau of Customs to one of the temporary buildings on The Mall, probably Building C, or the space to be released when the Public Health Service moves wholly into its new home at Twentieth street and Constitution avenue. Surg. Gen. Hugh Cumming and his staff are to begin their move today into their new home. A conference 1s scheduled to be held, early this week, 4n the new Public Health Service Build- ing, so the surgeon general desires to be in his new home, immediately. The Public Buildings Commission also 15 supervising this move. SUSPECT IN $30,000 I THEFT SEIZED HERE| Californian Tells Police He Is Willing to Return to Coast and Face Charges.
