Fl CURB PRICES HOLD BUT MARKET DULL Only 130,000 Shares Change Hands in Two Hours ot Trading. BY CLAUDE A. JAGGER, Assocfited Press Financial Editor. NEW YORK, May 16&—The curb market showed a fairly steady tone today in the dullest Saturday trading of the year. Sales for the two hours were only 130,000 shares. Prices tried to rally in the first half hour, but interest was so stagnant that the attempt was abandoned. Selling pressure . was largely absent, however, Bnd quotations moved narrowly, sagging | 1030 s'ightly toward the close, which was irregular, One of the active issues was General ‘Theaters Equipment preferred, which ralliled more than a point on the 1930 earnings report. The maximum ad- vance was not fully maintained and the issue finished higher. There was a 3 point rise in Parker Rust Proof, but otherwise the specialties did little. Mead Johnson lost a point, Insurance Co. of North America dropped 2'4 to a new low and Stutz Motor sagged 13%. Con solidated Dairy yielded about a point. Aluminum of America was dull but firm.
